Dev Joshi was awarded the Best Resident Research Day Research Award at the Department of Surgery’s Resident 2023 Research Day for his work on “Quantitative digital histological analysis and comparison to proton density fat fraction in patients undergoing weight loss surgery.”
Andrea and Garrett both received the 2023 National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program! This nationally competitive award provides support for 3 years of graduate study. Andrea and Garrett are the first from QIML & LIRP to receive the GRFP. Congratulations!
Congratulations to Dr. Hernando for winning the Vilas Faculty Early-Career Investigator Award. This award recognizes outstanding achievements, and Dr. Hernando’s important to the missions of the School of Medicine and Public Health, and the Departments of Radiology and Medical Physics, through $100,000 over 3 years to support Dr. Hernando’s research.
